Architect Olivier Ortega of the architectural firm Archi et Associes entrusted us with the audio-video distribution system, the computer network system, the acoustic treatment, and the lighting management for a cinema room of approximately 130m² and a bar area, located within a 17th-century castle.

As the client is passionate about both cinema and HiFi music, a special, custom-designed installation was created to meet this requirement.

The proposed home automation system needed to be simple and intuitive to use, while also being stable to ensure optimal and comfortable operation.

The solution chosen to manage the entire room consists of the following:
• 1 Control4 EA5 main controller
• 1 Control4 EA1 secondary controller
• 2 Control4 dimmable lighting modules allowing for percentage-level dimming
• 2 Control4 configurable 7-button keypads with scenario launch on certain buttons
• 1 Control4 SR260 remote control, primarily used for home theater functions
• 1 Pakedge rack-mountable strip with 8 manageable outlets

The computer network section was carefully designed and programmed as it is the basis for the system’s stability. All communications between devices will pass through it.

Specific equipment was therefore selected. Here they are:
• 1 Pakedge RE2 router
• 2 Pakedge SX-8-EP switches
• 1 Pakedge WiFi access point
• 100% copper RJ45 CAT 6 patch cords

All the equipment is protected by a UPS and installed in a 42U IT rack.
The audio component was designed based on the room volume and the client’s expectations.

Here are the components that make up this section:
• 1 Lyngdorf MP50 16-channel home theater processor
• 6 Lyngdorf SDA-2400 dedicated power amplifiers for the center, surround, surround back, and Dolby Atmos speakers
• 1 Yamaha PX10 dedicated power amplifier for the subwoofer
• 1 McIntosh MA8900 dedicated integrated amplifier for the floorstanding speakers
• 1 ICE S8.2 loudspeaker for the center channel
• 6 ICE S8.1 loudspeakers for the surround and surround back channels
• 4 ICE S6.1 loudspeakers for the Dolby Atmos channels
• 1 ICE 15.2P subwoofer for the low frequencies
• 2 Sonus Faber Olympica III floorstanding speakers for the front left and right channels in home theater and stereo for Hi-Fi listening
• 1 Lyngdorf CD-2 CD player
• 1 Rega Planar 6 turntable with its Rega PSU Neo power supply and an MM phono cartridge Exactly.

A specific request from the client was to be able to watch movies and photos on a big screen while listening to music in HiFi mode only on the Sonus Faber floorstanding speakers, thus bypassing the home theater system. We had to study and design a specific mode to allow this operation.

The programming allows the client to switch from Home Theater mode to HiFi mode, and vice versa, very easily during a video session thanks to the Control4 interface.

Music streaming from smartphones is also supported via AirPlay and Bluetooth communication protocols.

Acoustic treatment was applied to the walls and ceilings to optimize the sound in the cinema space.

The video section consists of the following equipment:
• 1 Digital Projection E-Vision Laser 4K video projector and an E-Vision 2.2-3.67:1 lens
• 1 ORAY acoustically transparent frame screen with a base of 4.50m in CinemaScope format
• 1 SONY UBP-X1100ES 4K UHD Blu-ray player
• 1 Google Chromecast Ultra 4K player

Depending on the film’s aspect ratio, a program allows you to switch from 16:9 to 2.35:1 to fully enjoy the original film format.

The Hôtel Richer de Belleval is a private mansion that has become a Relais & Châteaux Hotel-Restaurant in the heart of the city. A must-see for its gastronomy, art, culture, and history.

In this beautiful hotel located in the heart of the city, we faced certain integration constraints imposed by this magnificent building, created between 1669 and 1682.

The building was completely restored to the specifications of architect Philippe Prost and designer Christian Collot, and to the operational requirements expressed

by the client. The floors and frescoes were preserved, with a touch of contemporary art that brings this beautiful building back to life.

A place that retains its timeless character.
